Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts assigned according to staffing needs. Float pool assignment with potential to float between PCU units and occasionally to other acuity levels. May be required to float to affiliated hospital locations (approximately 5-6 minute walk, no commute required).

• Patient ratio of 3:1 across all shifts

• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of progressive care or stepdown nursing experience
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency with IV starts and cardiac telemetry monitoring
• EPIC charting experience required
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Preferred: Previous charge nurse experience
• Core clinical skills including cardiac telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP, feeding tube management, chest tube care, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound VAC, and medication protocols (heparin, insulin, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role; second may be from a charge nurse (no coworker references accepted)
